Today's Ideas:
for morning of Thurs. Jan. 31, 2008

IMPORTANT: Below is what we're looking at currently, but pay attention to our UPDATES on the side of each page for actual entry/exit times and prices. Refresh pages often! You will witness our winners AND losers; something that is rare in our business.    TO VERIFY ACTUAL PRICES AND TIMES, PLEASE CLICK ON  A TICKER ENTRY TO THE RIGHT.  ALL TRADES, WHEN THEY OCCURED, ARE VIEWABLE.

Whenever possible, we have included the ETF symbol for those who are not experienced trading futures, etc.

    New Update:

Our ticker went down around 11 am yesterday, so readers were not able to follow us for about an hour or so. Twitter said they had "technical difficulties", and we hope they are more reliable today. We were able to get long 2 units each of SRS and SKF, for a decent day trade with profits, but they did go significantly higher. We'll still be looking to get long these 2 etfs and potentially short the ER2 futures (or TWM etf long). Sugar probably won't signal one way or the other today, so that position is still being held long term. We are looking to add some Cotton futures as the price action presents next week or two.

Yesterday's afternoon volatility demonstrates the need to stand aside on Fed decision days. The Fed messes up many things, such as free markets' price discovery, and "decision announcements" also hinder regular trading. Now that it's behind us, we can look forward to the great trading we expect from today through mid-week next week. Good luck and trade well.

Position update as of 9:13 am:

Day traded OIH from the long side (small winner)

Long 3 units SB (Sugar avg. price .11008)
